HBO Max removes shows: ‘Vinyl,’ ‘Camping,’ ‘Mrs. Fletcher,’ ‘Run’

HBO’s HBO Max library of shows is shrinking: a string of pay cable’s past series, including the Martin Scorsese-produced rock-and-roll drama. Vinyl Y jennifer garner comedy Campinghave been removed from the streaming service.

With Vinyl Y CampingHBO Max is no longer presenting the Kathryn Hahn miniseries Mrs FletcherMerritt Wever and Domhnall Gleeson’s comedy thriller Run and the Tim Robbins and Holly Hunter family drama Here and now. Also, at home with amy sedaris, which ran for three seasons on Warner Bros. Discovery’s truTV channel, has also disappeared from the streaming service. (Vulture first noticed the disappearance of the programs.)

HBO Max had no official comment on the removals, but a source tells TVLine that library titles just come and go all the time across all platforms. (Past HBO shows are also available on demand for cable subscribers.) The streamer’s Twitter help feed has been responding to user complaints about saying: “As we work to unite HBO Max and Discovery+, we are making some changes to our services. Part of that process includes removing select content.”

This news comes as rumors of a possible combination of HBO Max and Discovery+ streaming services surface in the wake of the first earnings report from recently merged parent company Warner Bros. Discovery. Earlier this week, the DC Comics movie Bat girl was scrapped by HBO Max, despite being filmed and in post-production. The streamer also removed a number of movies that debuted on HBO Max, including The witches, superintelligence Y moon shot.
