The first preseason game of the 103rd NFL season kicks off Thursday with the Hall of Fame Game between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The game will give most of the players vying for roster spots a chance to shine, as many of the star players on both sides are expected to be left out.
The Jaguars already said quarterback Trevor Lawrence and running back Travis Etienne, who is coming off a Lisfranc injury and missed his entire 2021 rookie season, will not play. Jake Luton will start as backup quarterback CJ Beathard is recovering from a groin muscle strain.
