Rumor Roundup: WWE Changes, Backstage Morale, Ronda Rousey Suspension, More!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding professional wrestling is a favorite pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that: rumours. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just making the rounds in the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track the accuracy of rumors in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back which you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors of the day:

  • PW Insider says that one of the big changes that has happened within WWE recently has been the relaxation of restrictions around wrestler promotions. They are allowed to improvise more.

  • That apparently includes matches, as they were also told the Drew McIntyre vs. sheamus in Slap
  • Fightful Select notes that, unsurprisingly, there is a lot of optimism within WWE and even outside of it surrounding Triple H who is now running Creative. Morale is high right now.

  • On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that Ronda Rousey is booked for the clash at the castle PPV, so his suspension won’t last long.
  • A recent AEW trademark filing for “All Elite Women” has led to speculation that a new show will be created for the women on the roster.
